Finally...i think i'v had enough fun for one night...

But first, i'd like to credit the people who have made this project a possibility for someone who never really thought something like this would happen:

1st :iconbongoshock: for gettin' me intereterested in digital works, and convinced me to drop $276 on what has quickly become my tool of choice when it comes to art ;)

2nd :iconconcept-on-mac: for his useful tuts, inspiration, and increadible talet.

3rd :iconwarinmysky: for re-ignighting my creativity and is the sole cause of many sleepless nights...your the best man

4th :iconprojektarsonic: for always throwin' in his two cents whether or not i ever asked for it..."RIGHT ARM!"

5th :iconsabtastic: for makin' me laugh with her witty comments and uplifting attitude...for featurin' me in her last journal...for being Canadian...and oh! Its her faut i keep turning back to FB instead of PS for my escape ;)

So! Many many many hours were spent creating, re-making, and building my first truly distinguished digital painting. I only hope it lives up to the anticipation i built for the past month or so:)

This has got to be THE best piece of work you've made yet. Like.. wow. :wow:
The detail, the background, the metallic textures, the gun, the hands, the overall dark colour scheme for it-- friggin' BOSS.

...don't think i've ever used 'boss' to describle something-- but that randomly came to mind, so that's my story and i'm stickin' to it. >:c

haha...im not sure i'v ever heard 'boss' used in that context before ;)

thanks ya! like i said, im not entirely happy with it [yet] because is sooooo effin' dark. I want it moody, but you still need to be able SEE shit! so i'll mess with it more tomorrow when im more awake ;)

A bit of light reflecting off the forearm would be ok, but just a bit. I love how the darkness swallows the entire left side of the image and skews the balance.

You may also want to do something with the reflection in his visor--it's almost like an entirely seperate canvas that you can use to project another image with another meaning. If you're doing this for a scholarship, and will be talking about your piece with art critics, they'll only be half interested in the piece itself, but quite interested in the meaning behind everything and your explanations.

This is an extremely complicated piece and you deserve to be proud of it.

yeh, i also thought about the visor bit...mainly because the lighting i added there a while back in the lense looked cool, but i dunno if that should really reflect an explosion goin off in front of him or its just there for show...mmhhhh

i expected nothing less than this quality from you. sooo glad you finally posted the final one cause the anticipation was killing me lol. i have very subtle critiques to you which we can talk about later..but all in all...great job...just flat out...you put the work in, and as a result this amazing piece is the outcome. your goin far and dont let ne1 tell you different. great work :thumbsup:
