Done for my studio Drawing 1 class at RMCAD.
Had to design a bug from sketch to final render. Took a little longer on mine once I realized what the size parameters had to be. This is actually 11.5"x14" (down from the original 14"x17") because I have yet to draw the other two elements of this piece. The nice thing about working big though is how much easier it is to get that finer detail. I like it over all, I just think i could have done a few things differently ie: getting rid of the spiny arms and maybe working out the motion of the tentacles. But i'm happy as-is either way. Materials: 7B-3B Kneaded eraser Tuff-Stuff eraser Blending stick Paper towels 0.3 Mechanical Drafting Pencil 20-25 hours ::EDIT:: I'll make sure to upload some details shots later tonight |
